We have a very fast 2006 Ferrari F430 race car for sale. This is an immaculate example of the Ferrari F430 Challenge race car currently eligible to compete and ready to win in the Ferrari Challenge series. Total engine time 15-20 hours.

The F430 was born from a desire for an even more "GT Style" car in terms of equipment and performance. While the F430 Challenge is powered by the same 490-bhp V8 engine as the normal road-going Ferrari F430, there is a notable Formula 1 influence across various aspects. The brakes, for the first time on a Ferrari race car, use carbon-ceramic technology (CCM) while the gearbox, unlike a GT car gearbox, is fitted with its own oil cooler to reduce operating temperatures and prolong the life of the engine under racing conditions.

This is a purpose-built race car, and cannot be registered for street use. It is being sold on a California “recreational vehicle” title.

All preparation and support for this example has been handled exclusively by The Auto Gallery and Ferrari of Orange County – both authorized Ferrari dealer teams. No expense has been spared in maintaining this example, and it has many spares and all current updates.

Homestead/Miami, March '06: 3rd in Saturday race, 4th in Sunday race.

Infineon, April '06: Qualified 3rd, 4th Saturday race, 3rd Sunday race.

Road America, June 06: Running 2nd when ran out of gas.

Portland, 3rd Saturday race. Leading Sunday race when electrical prob/ DNF

Homestead/Miami, 2007.

Infineon, 2007: Qualified on pole, 5th Saturday race, 3rd Sunday race.

California Speedway 2007

This car has never endured any significant hits or crashes, and has only competed in a total of 7 Ferrari Challenge race weekends and two independent track days. It has four podium finishes, two fastest race laps and one pole position in its seven Ferrari Challenge outings. It sat on the pole at Infineon in 2007 and finished on the podium, it’s most recent outing.

Comes with 3 full sets of spare wheels plus two extra fronts (aprox $30,000 value); extra (passenger) seat, radios and video camera. A brand new set of Pirelli racing slicks have been installed.
